Plug into the Sun
Bodin Solar identifies land suitable for mid-size solar projects and guides landowners through the early development process towards hosting a solar array.
We partner with landowners to generate long term recurring revenue and build energy independence. Based in the Midwest to meet local needs, we help landowners harvest electricity from the sun everyday, all year long. Discover a new way of creating value with your land!
Bodin Solar makes opportunities reality
We are an accomplished, lean, and dedicated team helping landowners secure long term, lucrative leasing deals. Landowner satisfaction is our main priority and we remain a partner throughout the process.
We create long term value for landowners and solar asset owners, while moving our country towards energy independence and carbon neutrality. Our team has a passion for merging technology with nature to improve our world for future generations.
The ideal parcel is 7-50 acres and can generate up to 4,500,000 kWh of emission-free electricity per year.
Solar land leasing offers reliable income for your land
Landowners can lease their land to solar asset owners and maintain full ownership of their property. Lease payments are made annually for 25-35 years based on the land acreage used.
The solar asset owner builds and maintains the solar array which feeds the electricity back into the grid and is used locally. At the end of the lease term the system is decommissioned by the solar asset owner.
Land is returned back to the owner in excellent condition at the end of the lease
The current opportunity in solar energy is historic
There will be more solar capacity built in the next ten years than all current combined US capacity. We are entering an unprecedented period of energy infrastructure investment.
To meet these supply needs over 4,000,000 acres of land will be needed for solar generation.
Don’t sit out during this once in a generation windfall opportunity.

Lease Signing
Once there has been a considerable site feasibility review, Bodin Solar will draft and offer a lucrative lease agreement.
Construction
After Bodin Solar manages the early development stages, a solar development company will assume control of the project and construct the solar array.
Energy production
Once construction is complete the solar array will begin producing electricity and you will start earning higher lease payments.
Decommission
A qualified third party will remove all equipment and return your land in excellent condition at the end of the contracted term, usually 25-35 years after installation.
Could solar work on your land?
If your land meets most of the following conditions, it should be suitable to host a solar farm.
- 7+ acres of contiguous land
- Easy access to public streets
- Minimal wetlands, floodplains, or densely wooded areas
- Relatively flat topography
- Receives direct sunlight from 10am-3pm when the sun is out
- Close to an existing electrical line
